Great White Bear

This Great White Bear... the polar bear.... was created for a 50th birthday. The bear was created from Best Ever Vanilla cake and buttercream frosting. His snout and legs were made from my magic cake crumb mixture that usually turns into cupcake lollipops. The board will be finished with royal icing to create ice for him to stand on - more pictures to come. Stay tuned!!

Little Lambkin

So I had to tear myself (briefly) away from the cupcake lollipops to make a baby shower cake for a good friend. She saved the gumpaste lamb - I don't know how well it will keep - we will have to wait and see!

The cake was a chocolate cake with chocolate Reese's Peanut Butter Cup buttercream and the cupcake lolli's (you don't think that I could not include these little delights?!) were carrot cake with cream cheese frosting. OMG!

A Fish for a Fisherman

This cake was made for the 40th birthday of a good friend who loves to fish. The Rainbow Trout was carved from vanilla cake with chocolate buttercream in the center and covered with fondant. I used luster dust and food coloring to paint the fish - VERY FISHY INDEED!
