Two cakes for this weekend... A pirate themed cake for a girl and a casion themed cake to go with a gift certificate donated to the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Casino Night.
The pirate cake - delicious pound cake with vanilla buttercream, was loosely based on a ballerina cake I did a couple years ago. The sides of the cake featured gold coins with a "C" and "7" for the birthday girl.
The casino cake was red and black - with fondant chips, dice and decorations... it needed a little height so I added the fondant hearts.
